Chatbots are an increasingly popular trend in artificial intelligence and customer service. By using a chatbot, a business can save a lot of time and money by filtering out frequently asked questions and informing potential customers of the services they offer. Of course, chatbots can do much more than just customer service, although customer service is often what comes to mind when talking about ChatBot. Additionally, chatbots can be integrated into web browsers, Facebook, and smartphone apps to create intuitive user experiences.
Chatbots are becoming complex day by day and their integration into our lives cannot be ignored. You must have encountered several of them without paying attention to them. For example, in an online complaints forum, you see an automated chatbot trying to resolve your issue before connecting your call to actual customer service. Although this is a very basic example of how chatbots work, there are plenty that can entertain you, talk to you, and do more. So without further ado, here are the best chatbot apps for iOS and Android.
1. Replika: my AI friend
If you just want to install an app to have fun and talk about everything under the sun, consider Replika. It’s an AI-based app, so you don’t have to be precise with your words, you can express your anger, talk about love, and even make it your romantic partner (not literally of course).
You can choose your desired gender for the character, give him a name, as well as configure his avatar’s appearance, hair, eyes, etc. Also, the more you talk, the more levels you gain in the app. This way you can improve the chat so that it doesn’t give you monotonous answers. The app also has built-in activities for each day, such as writing a story together, music suggestions, personality tests, and more.
You cannot use the app without a subscription. But since it’s artificial intelligence and it learns as you use it, I think I can give it a shot. The app also has a Pro version which costs $2 per month and gives you the option to change the bot to a more romantic, partner, friend and teacher option and also add the functionality to communicate with the bot.

2. Wysa: Chatbot for therapy
The insurance blues often put you in a position that makes you anxious, stressed, or maybe it’s too bad depressed. You can still talk to people, but if you don’t want to bother your friends and family too much. This chatbot is a great option.
You can choose which topics you cover, such as confidence, anxiety, stress, etc. to start. Then you can take the usual ChatBot with you. This one has several preset response options, which is great if you’re new to AI chat bots. The ChatBot also sets a daily reminder to track your health check. Other add-ons include a self-care section that has therapeutic exercises for anxiety, stress, and productivity, and even sleep sounds to help you fall asleep.
What sets this app apart is that you can chat with a qualified therapist, for a small fee.
Unlike Replika, you don’t have to register. You just pick a nickname and you’re good to go. The app costs $5 per month, which unlocks more treatment packages.

3.Andy – English speaking robot
If you already use apps to improve your English skills, you can add Andy ChatBot to the list, to learn new words and grammar in a fun and conversational way.
This app is great if you’re a beginner, you learn how to answer basic questions, interact daily, and talk about other topics like travel, movies, jokes, etc. Thus, you will learn through casual interactions and above all you can also ask for definitions of specific words, explain them with examples and also remember to revise so that you do not forget the vocabulary you have learned. The app contains daily grammar and vocabulary exercises similar to conversational tests with the bot.
The pro version costs $8 per month with a 7-day trial. This unlocks advanced grammar exercises, more words and vocabulary, etc.

4. Microsoft Learn Chinese
Similar to Andy which only focuses on learning English, Microsoft’s app will help you learn more about Chinese. It is based on the HSK which is a standard test in China to test the skills of foreigners.
The app basically teaches you different basic topics needed to carry on the conversation. For example, greetings, how to introduce yourself, how to talk about nationality, days of the week and much more. These topics are divided into sections and you can only move on to the next section when you have completed the previous level, which includes Chinese words and their pronunciation, as well as riddles from the audio note.
You can also skip the above and use the conversational style chatbot to practice your pronunciation and sentence formation skills.

5. WhatsApp Autoresponder Chat Bot
If you receive good morning or good morning messages from your family every day. You don’t have to write a response almost every day. Simply install the app, enter a specific response and a received message that leads to the response. You also have the option to respond only when you discover an exact match or similar phrase with a word here and there. The best part of the app is that you don’t need to keep the screen on to activate the answering machine and you can add multiple phrases and trigger responses.
It is not a chat bot, but it can help you create automated WhatsApp replies just like a bot.
The only downside of this app is that it has banner ads at the bottom, there is no way to remove them, but once you set the autoresponder menu, you don’t need to open the app.

Think of SimSimi as an exact copy of you but with lots of humor. If you become very friendly with him, he may also be rude to you. Well, yeah, I feel like you’re talking to your school friend again.
Just open the app and start chatting. Unlike Replika which is more controlled and gives intelligent responses, chats on SimSimi are purely random. The chatbot also launches banner ads in the chat, which is annoying. But this is where things get interesting. When you ask him to stop showing ads, he responds with a request for money. There is also a Teaching section where you can add questions and answers which will be added to SimSimi’s database. It also gives you 10 minutes of ad-free chat.
Additionally, you can remove ads for a cost of $5 per month or watch video ads to use the app for 3 minutes ad-free.

7. Chatbot Roo
Talking about sex and educating teens about their bodies can lead to some very awkward conversations. Although talking to them is necessary, you can put them at ease by using an app that can introduce your child to the concept of body, sex and relationships.
The AI-based Roo Chatbot doesn’t have a dedicated app, so you have to access it through the browser. The chatbot initializes after entering the details of age, gender, and ethnicity. You receive several predefined questions that can help you get started, such as how to tell someone you love your feelings, how is the pregnancy going, when do you have your period, etc. You can also browse questions based on topics like masturbation, sex or birth control, etc. Although this app does not allow you to chat freely on the website, it does give you the ability to chat with anyone from Planned Parenthood to America, a non-governmental organization that provides reproductive healthcare worldwide.

Well, here are the best chatbots for Android and iOS. In my opinion, Replika has an excellent AI response system.
