Bumble is a unique dating app with its own matching system. This system allows all users to see who has liked them only if it is reciprocated. Of course, there is more than that.
Premium users can see people they didn’t like back. Keep reading, as you’ll also find practical tips you can apply to get more matches.
How to see who liked you
You can only see who has liked you on Bumble when you like them back if you are a regular user. However, people who subscribe to Bumble Boost unlock many additional features, such as seeing their admirers. Admirers are people who liked you, but you haven’t liked them back yet.
Your admirers appear in the Beeline if you are a premium Bumble user. The Beeline is part of the match queue in Bumble. The match queue is the part of Bumble where you can see all of your regular matches (when Mutual Appreciation occurs).
It sounds confusing, but when you see it first hand it will be much more obvious.
Access the match queue
When the app is updated and ready on your phone or tablet, you can access the match queue:
- Launch Bumble on your Android or iOS device.
- Log in, if necessary. We suggest using Facebook login as it speeds up profile setup.
- Select the chat option in the upper right corner of your screen.
- You will see the match queue (circles with people’s photos) with all your matches.
You can start chatting right away. Tap a person’s icon and you can send them a message. If you are a woman, you can send the first one. Guys have to wait for their matches to message them first, but they have a few options to let their match know they’re interested. We will explain this later, but now let’s talk about the Beeline.
The Beeline is on the left side of the match queue. It’s a green circle; tap it and see your admirers (if you are a premium user).
Bumble Premium Benefits
Besides access to the Beeline, with Bumble Boost you also have the option to make your matches last longer. Usually the matches only last one day. In a direct match, a woman has 24 hours to send the first message.
Same-sex matches are equal, which means anyone can start the conversation first. Bumble Boost also lets you rematch with someone you like if the match has expired.
Another great premium option is called SuperSwipe. It allows you to inform a person that you love him very much. The SuperSwipe costs one Bumble Coin, which you can purchase separately in the app. Just tap the SuperSwipe option and you can buy coins instantly.
SuperSwipe is the heart-shaped icon between the Pass and Like (swipe left or right). Save this option for girls or guys you like very much. Finally, there is the Spotlight option.
With Bumble Spotlight, you make your profile stand out by giving it better visibility for half an hour. The Spotlight costs two Bumble Coins. Note that these are current prices for Bumble’s premium features and may change in the future.
How to get more likes
Depending on your location, Bumble may have a lot of competition. By now, you’ve probably concluded that using Bumble’s premium options gives you an advantage, but they’re not enough. Start with a few tasteful photos that turned out great. Launch Bumble, tap Edit Profile, then tap the Add icon at the top of the screen to upload one as a new profile picture.
Next, write a biography (about me section) and be sure to end it with a question. It can be anything, like “What’s your favorite food?” Next, fill in all essential, professional and educational information, and write profile prompts.
Try to be honest when providing all of this information. If you act like yourself, people are more likely to like you. Finally, you can connect other accounts if you wish (Instagram and Spotify).
People will be able to see your profile when you match, so filling it with cool photos and exciting details about yourself can’t hurt.
Getting matches on Bumble isn’t easy, and neither is dating in general. However, with the helpful tips in this article, you have the knowledge you need to overcome any obstacles. Remember that you will need patience and courage to make moves on Bumble.
